Hi, I'm Amanda! Thanks for coming by my little corner of the internet. My work lives in performance and storytelling, often crossing into voice, movement, and design. I’m drawn to characters and worlds that feel specific, strange, and alive.I’ve spent years chasing stories from every angle I could get my hands on; onstage, on screen, and behind a microphone. My background includes acting and voiceover, puppetry, props and creature design, sculptural work, and special effects makeup. World-building is a constant throughline: I like understanding how things work, how they move, and how they invite an audience in.Originally from Texas, I’ve lived and worked across the U.S. before recently landing in Portland, Oregon. It’s a city that understands the value of curiosity, craft, and a little well-placed weirdness.When I’m not performing or creating, I’m homeschooling my teenage daughter (powered mostly by caffeine), spending time with my baby dog, and married to a man who bears a suspicious resemblance to Santa Claus.What collaborators tend to appreciate about working with me is that I take the work seriously without taking myself too seriously. I’m resourceful, collaborative, and comfortable wearing multiple hats when needed. I care deeply about the process and the people in the room, and I’m always aiming to make work that lingers (in the best of ways).
